One name I’m hearing is in the mix at Stanford is UAB’s Jerod Haase.

Regarding speculation about Vandy coach Kevin Stallings future, what I do know is that he and his staff have not been informed of anything.

Other Goodman coaching related tweets:

-Barring a last minute collapse in negotiations, Rick Stansbury will take the Western Kentucky job
-Two names likely to be in the mix for the Georgia Tech job: Georgia Tech alum and current Charlotte head coach Mark Price and Duke assistant Jeff Capel

Surprised Stansbury can't do better than that, but that part of the world is home for him so maybe that's why. He basically is what people think John Calipari is, and his departure will likely turn off the talent spigot at Texas A&M.

Mark Price would be a stupid, desperate, homer-driven lunge by GT.

Only way Stallings ever does anything of substance at Pitt is if Pitino, K, Roy and Boeheim all get out before he does.

Already questioning the Stallings hire at Pitt ......

Not sure I entirely agree. Dixon did less with more than most so it was probably time for him to go. Stallings might be a better fit as a tactician but it is certainly not a home run hire.

Listened to espn radio interview a Pittsburgh journalist on Stallings. Sounds like Pitt was expecting way more splash. His take was Stallings seat was hot, Pitt not only bails Vandy out of a buyout, but gives them money to take him. Also the speculation was the AD didn't make a serious effort to hang onto Dixon because they had a better option in the wings.

GT supposedly reaching out to Jeff Capel and Jay Larranaga. Jay is Jim's son, an assistant under Brad Stevens with the Celtics. He's a really intriguing college head coaching candidate. He had a long pro career in Europe and some coaching stints over there as well. I think the theory is that he would clean up in recruiting talented European kids who are interested in a US college education.

The trouble is, he really should be in line for an NBA head job, being Steven's right hand man and having been a very successful NBA D-League coach.

Are people still thinking we are going after Drew next year? Groce will still be our coach.

You don't think the 16-17 season will have any impact on his job status? Groce is either getting an extension next year or will be fired and what happens within the next 12 or so months is going to determine that.
