He might get the Valpo job.
I do not think Dustin Ford has done anything to deserve the Valpo job.

I'd bet he ends up at Vandy for a couple of years.
Most likely scenario, although much will depend on who Valpo can actually attract on their search.

I don't think any respectable AD would do that. You either keep the coach and let them make their own staff choices, or you fire him.
Yup, though a very candid conversation probably occurred around the staff and expectations.
Worth noting that JW knows virtually nothing firsthand about Groce's assistants and the internal operations of his program at this point.
I don't expect or even want JW to go to Groce and say "replace so and so on your staff" unless it's for a legal matter.
However, I do want him to set expectations for Groce and tell him staff decisions are on him, and if he isn't sure that the current staff can get it done to talk to JW about staff budgeting/options. It's on Groce, he can choose to try and not sink with the current ship or see if some new blood helps out.
Get rid of Ford.
