I know it's early but what if wisky kills Ped U? Playoff?

I don't see Wisconsin making it in any scenario. If Clemson loses then it is probably Michigan because of head to head.

Big win by Bucky and a Clemson loss might put them in... Wisconsin has been on a progressive upward move, while Michigan stumbled at OSU.. but I don't make those decisions...just watch the games cheer on who ever. Except, Alabama....I don't cheer them on for any reason..

I'm rooting for Wisky, but is Franklin an idiot or what? Why go for it on 4 and 2 on your own half of the field? Run up the score Bucky!

The only thing that I can think of here is it would be really difficult to fathom having 2 B1G teams in the playoff and neither of them is the conference champ. Delaney really pushed for the conference champs having preference, too.

Penn state shouldve gotten the death penalty

Yeah, but instead here we are watching them in the Big 10 championship game with all the TV talking heads raving over their "comeback" and "overcoming adversity"

I agree... 5 year ban would have been the least they should have gotten...

I am not believing what I'm seeing.... It's like someone paid the Badgers to throw the game at half time...

Officials starting to put the fix in. BS personal foul. Announcers are idiots. Don't know what they are talking about. I wanted the death penalty for them as well. Predicted the way it went down would only be a blip for them. As for the game, the problem Wisky is having is that their system with 3 stars is running into 4 and 5 star talent.

I don't like Penn St, but I think they earned the win. I never expected they'd win. The whole pedophileU garbage needs to stop. It's over and in the past. Terrible it happened. The kids that play for them had nothing to do with it. The players rallied and beat Wisconsin in the second half. That's what we should be talkin about.

Oh I don't have anything against the players or coaches there now. It's the fanbase that bugs me. By putting football on such a pedestal that Paterno and administrators were more concerned about how a child predator would affect their program as opposed to the children he attacked just sickens me. And now these same fans get rewarded.

Penn State wouldn't have even been in the title game had they been given the death penalty or, at the very least, been held to the original sanctions that the spineless NCAA shortened.

Sure the players don't need to be punished for what PSU did but it was the overall football climate of "football > everything" and an organizational understanding that they were victims in this that needed to be changed and it wasn't.

If you don't believe me, look at the fact that the administration hired Franklin...a guy potentially connected to the cover up of a video that could be evidence of rape against his players. Even if he had nothing to do with it, PSU might have wanted to avoid a new coach with ties to a potential rape scandal. Or how about the fans that want to bring back the Paterno statue or the announcers gushing about how "poor penn state bounced back" during the title game telecast. Especially damning is how the administration wrongly fired Mike McCreary for whistleblowing and that he is so hated for "hurting the football program and their beloved JoePa" that the dude can't find work. Look it up, he literally couldn't land a job as a register attendant at a rite-aide.

With how it seems PSU learned very little to nothing from all this (many of their fans and sports media included) I'd say it's completely warranted for decent people to still be upset and completely justified in voicing that displeasure for the next 3,4, or 5 years...if not forever.

Agreed with this.

Yesterday morning on Gameday there was a sign in the background that said (roughly), "We Are...Back. Nice try NCAA."

Complete and total lack of understanding about what happened and why they were being punished. I wasn't for it at the time but I've started to think the death penalty should have been enforced.

Yup. Or at least not shortening the sanctions. Penn State needed a time out from playing (or being relevant) from football for awhile and they got off easy instead.

No. Penn State fans did absolutely nothing wrong in the Joe Paterno era, nor did they do anything one iota differently than we as Illinois fans or any other group in the country would have done under the same circumstances, period, end of story.

It is the way a significant chunk of their fanbase has behaved AFTER learning of the depths of Paterno's moral failure that is worthy of condemnation.
