Think CM is now waiting on Smith to see where he decides to go?

Cameron Johnson starts his OV to UK on Wednesday. UK is supposedly the leader on this grad transfer.

That's one impressive journey for Charlie Moore though. From a recruit playing second fiddle to MLV until his senior year, to a top-100 recruit but not as high, to Kansas. Despite his physical limitations.

Charlie Moore is a talented player but Smith is a much better fit at UI given our current roster. There's been a lot of talk about BU's system allowing for 4 guard lineups, but for defensive purposes you can't have 3 guys on the floor under 6 feet tall. You already have TJL and Frazier who will likely get a lot of minutes. How do you defend the opponents 3? Smith is 6'5.

Also, Smith can actually see the floor next year and we need immediate help.

Guess he wanted to be closer, but only so much closer, to his ailing father. Hear what they say, sure. But watch what they do. That's where the meat is.

Since there is no hardship waiver anymore, it doesn't really matter what his reason for transferring is/was.

Back in the day, even coming to Champaign wasn't close enough to Chicago to get the hardship waiver.

Charlie may not be the tallest guy, but surely he's tall enough to see the floor!

Alternately:
Charlie Moore is short!
How short is he?!
He's so short he can't even see the floor!

Okay, so it's a slow day at work. I'll see myself out.

If we get Smith, this is the only reason I'm not really bummed about not getting Charlie. Been a big fan of his since high school and always wanted to see him at SFC. Glad he'll get a chance at an elite school, but would've loved to have seen him with us.
But we do need the help next season.

I really really want Bragg. Kid has talent, would be a great fit in this new system. I hope they are recruiting him hard.
