Lost doubles point and 2 singles matches, but still have a chance. Clark, Vucik and Kova won first sets and Hiltzik is in the 3rd set.

Well, that's another good season in the books for the Illini. I would have loved to see just one more win, but I expected one fewer (and LOVED that one), so that counts as a fun finish in my book.

No. 1 Norrie beat Vukic 6-3 6-4 and Hiltzik lost 6-4 7-6(5). Zeke Clark nabbed the only completed Illini point in a 6-4 6-4 win.

TCU is a good team and a tough match-up as they can equal our strength at the top of the lineup. Should be a good team next season as the frosh get a year older and we add another good recruiting class.
Hey it isn't over quite yet. Let's hope for a deep run in the singles tournament for Vukic. Maybe really, really deep!

I'm changing my prediction to say Mac Kiger may see significant court time, maybe ahead of Alexander Brown. Kiger has had a strong summer including play this week at nationals in Kalamazoo.

New roster is up and Mac Kiger is not listed. Anybody know if anything happened?
He had moved up to a top-10 recruit so it would be a big loss if he isn't coming.
Just saw that as well regarding Kiger.
Big disappointment as even though he's ranked slightly below Brown by Tennis Recruiting Net, his UTR is about equal to Kovacevic and a whole 1/2 point higher than Brown.

Aron Hiltzik played in Calgary Futures this week. He lost Tuesday 6-1, 3-2 retired.
I hope Aron isn't hurt.
Vukic played in Poland Futures events the last 2 weeks. Hopefully he's doing well and is back in school soon.

Vukic will not be back until second semester. He plans to play professional matches this semester.
