Would have been nice for Goldies HR to win it but Shildt just had to use Gant. I'm calling it a night going into bottom of 17th. Hopefully I'll wake to some good news but I doubt it with I think Leone coming in. Probably 1 pitch and game over.
The bullpen only gave up 3 runs over 11 2/3 innings. That's pretty good!
Gants been lost for awhile now. Innings/ # of appearances wore him down. Hopefully they can clinch in before the Cubs series so he can get some rest.

i Didn’t get to watch the game but wasn’t surprised by the L. Sounds like they piled on 6th and we just dug ourselves too big a hole. Bummer but not the end of the world. I just hope the cubs don’t play spoiler for us.
The Reds are supposed to have Castillo going against the Brewers tomorrow afternoon so that may, hopefully, work in our favor.
If we win 2 against the Cubs and the Brewers win the next 4 to tie up the division, you just have to tip your cap. That would make them 22-2 to finish out the season.
But maybe we can sweep the Cubs again. I have no idea what to expect out of them. Obviously their season is over so maybe they just want to get it over with. But I have a feeling they will want some revenge.
