I was told ADC has another year of college eligibilty. True? May go pro, but love to have him back to anchor this team as he is doing now. Go Illinoisans!

That fifth year would be a covid year. It's available if both parties agree. I'd expect him to join Peters and Detry in the professional ranks.

Yes, I expect him to go pro. I'm not an insider, but I got the info about ADC returning next season from an Illini golf horse's mouth. We shall see. ADC: rated #12 in the country before his win at Purdue. Go Belgium, go Illini!

ADC has opted out of the Velocity Global rankings which determine tour status for the PGAU, he is returning for another year, which is huge for the program.

That's really good news. Any chance Kuhl will join him? Is Voois the only recruit for next year?

Dylan is still listed on the PGA Canada website. Don't know if he's playing. Poor guy, poor anyone, ulcerative colitis which he suffered from or suffers, is debilitating. Another Illini great, Charlie Danielson, was also on Canadian tour. Not listed on PGA Canada roster now. Big knee problems, surgery a couple of years ago.

Said hello to both of them and wished them and Illini well at events at Rich Harvest Farms a few years ago. Coach Small, too. I was such a pest, coach started saying "Hi" to me.

Signed,

Illini Golf Superfan

Co-signed. Absolute nightmare that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Charlie Danielson is on Korn Ferry Tour website, but it appears he hasn't played since 2019. Too bad.

Nice lady at Illini golf office told me Dylan is still part of Canadian PGA and can Monday quaity for Korn Ferry. Unfortunately, Charlie Danielson has retired from pro golf because of a bum knee and is working as a sports agent.

I'm really not illiterate. Should be "... can Monday qualify ..." not "quaity" whatever that means.

Really too bad about Charlie; all the promise in the world; has had a knee problem since he was a kid, I've read.

I've also read that Charlie's first client as a sports agent is his younger sister who also played college golf.

Now it can be revealed.

Jeremy Werner reported ADC will return to Illinois next season. Tommy Kuhl, too.

I was told by none other than Piercen Hunt last June that ADC would return. Hunt was following ADC at Palmer Cup at Rich Harvest Farms where I was a volunteer.

I could have reported it, but I didn't want to mention Piercen's name or compromise him or hold him to his comment.

But for once in my life I was a legit , although secretive, insider!

With ADC and Tommy returning, watch out for transfers - golf is not exempt from the portal. Witness Noah and Varun (sp?)

Good luck at OSU, BIG championship and beyond, ILLINI.

That is very good news. They have the two best averages on the team. There is at least one new commit for next year (Voois). Wonder how they plan to divvy up the 4.5 scholarships allowed with 8(?) players on the roster. Perhaps NIL makes that a little more doable.

Don't mean to be a wise guy, but Illinois has nine on the golf roster as of today: Armbrust, Barger, Buchanon, ADC, Hunt, Ji, Keating, Kuhl and Lang.

ADC today was named BIG co-golfer of the week for his win at Boilermaker.

But, will there be 9 next year? Ambrust is also a senior who could, in theory, use a 5th covid year. Small doesn't have to award him a scholarship. The other 6 nonseniors are guaranteed the continuation of their previously awarded aid if they choose to return. Voois has committed and presumably been awarded some schollie aid. Any other newbies coming in?

Men are creaming it at Kepler. Saweet! (I sound like a kid!)

Mike Small for president!

And what a victory at Robert Kepler who coached The Golden Bear.

My favorite golfers: Jack, Arnie, THE HAWK Ben Hogan - not in that order necessarily (but Hogan No. 1 certainly, in my book, let's discuss among ourselves over coffee).

Illini always seem to start slow and finish strong. Hope for the best from here on out.
