Eloy out 5-6 months with a torn pectoral. Ouch.

Guess it’s Vaughn time in LF now.

And to think just a week ago I had hopes of a Final Four and World Series.

Yermin 5/5! Who saw that coming?

TLR's handling of the pitchers I thought was pretty good tonight. Now if they can just fix their defense.

That series didn’t do much to fix my Illini tournament hangover. Our trips to Anaheim and Oakland are always a nightmare so hopefully we got it out of our system.

TLR left Matt Foster to the wolves. Horrible decision that sunk the game.

Well at least there are no more west coast trips until September. Let's see if there's no place like home for the Sox.

I was wondering if he was really trying to keep the rest of the bullpen ready for the upcoming series, since we had already won that series. Just let Foster take a beating to keep the rest of the guys out of there. Now pretty much the whole bullpen is ready to go for the divisional games right?

Lynn was lights out in the home opener. This is why the Sox made the trade to get him.

A bullpen that's already been overworked gets today and tomorrow off.

The legend of Yermin continues to grow. I don't know how long it will last but it's a fun ride right now.

Perez really couldn't have moved out of the way?

Still got the no-no. That's the Carlos Rodon Sox fans have wanted to see since being drafted #3 overall in 2014.

This after he just got hit with a nasty stomach bug two days ago.

Such an awesome night from start to finish.

I almost died when I saw the play by Abreu. Thought he was going to be done. Garcia and Moncada came up big a couple times too. Great job all around in that one and the type of pitcher I thought we were going to have a long time ago. If he is out 4 or 5 pitcher (and continues pitching like that) we will have one of the nastiest staffs in all of baseball.

Is that stomach bug the same thing that has put Cease on the shelf? Maybe he will bounce back the same way?

Sox sweep away the Rangers! 4 game winning streak to move to 12-9.

Kopech is more than stating his case to be inserted into the starting rotation. Kid is the real deal so far. They'll understandably limit his innings but a ton to be excited about regarding his future.

Bullpen needs to get their act together. That's the Sox biggest weakness right now.

And now Robert carried off the field after injuring himself beating out a grounder to third. Looked like a pulled groin or hip injury. FFS

Sox outfielders dropping like flies. Even Eaton looked like he was limping a bit.

I could live with Robert missing a month but I'm honestly expecting the absolute worst.

Out 12-16 weeks with a torn hip flexor. Absolute worst it is. Damn damn damn!

Engel also had a setback and is still 3 weeks away from a rehab assignment

Dylan Cease 3/3 at the plate. Just missed a HR. Awesome on the mound for a second consecutive start.

He said last start that Lance Lynn gave him some advice. Whatever it was, it seems to be working his last two starts.

Heart stopped after Abreu had a nasty collision with Hunter Dozier. However, he does not have a concussion and even wanted to play the 2nd game of the doubleheader. Looks like an IL stint won't be required *whew*

Sox got a split of the doubleheader, which is pretty good all things considered.
