Gary Parrish now has Ayo going 11th to Charlotte.
That would be extremely surprising, but ya never know with MJ in charge. I can't see them taking another guard when they just drafted Ball and have Rozier and Devonte Graham.

Edit: On second look, this isn't a mock. Don't know why he named it that. Nobody is going to be taking Ziaire Williams or Robinson-Earl in the top 10.

Ayo stock seems to be falling somewhat on these draft boards. A few months ago I was seeing him consistently at the 20-29 range. Now I’m seeing him in the mid 30s. I hope this won’t be the case

No recent player brought into the NBA has Ayo’s size and quickness to the basket?

Am I reading that correctly?
Yes you are. Name another guy who throws the ball out in front of him, runs at full speed, takes maybe three dribbles, goes between defenders and finishes high at the rim over and over again.

Interesting to see Ayo work out for the wizards. I don't think I've seen him go as high as 15 in mocks.

From The Athletic ($$) on Thursday: Interviews with coaches, execs, etc. throughout the league

Blurbs on Ayo:

Western Conference executive 3: Not sure why he isn’t getting more love.

Western Conference executive 1: Has improved dramatically by staying three years. Combo guard who can defend multiple positions. Explosive athlete who is really tough in transition. Can score at all three levels — 3-point line, midrange and at the rim. Versatile two-way player. Think Terance Mann with an off-the-bounce dribble jumper. Serious young man who was a great interview. Leadership potential.

"...based upon my projection of their NBA careers. This isn't a prediction on how good they will be as rookies, or as second- or third-year players. What I'm doing here is taking a long look over the horizon and, best as one man can, attempting to echelon out each player's career-long prospects of making it in the NBA"
Yeah most teams won’t draft based on that

Noted. Will reference after he's signed as UDFA. May not make a team, but I think he get's a hard look somewhere.

I appreciate you being an optimist but I think his ceiling is around Brian Scalabrine/Brian Cardinal...

and that's BEST case scenario

Is using those two as a comparison supposed to be a slight?

Scalabrine played a decade in the NBA, & made about 20 million. Cardinal played 11 years, made around 40 million.

Getting a single season in the NBA is an accomplishment 99% of D-I players never achieve. Having a career like those two IS THE DREAM.

If Giorgi gets a cup of coffee in the NBA, Underwood deserves some major kudos. Getting Ayo to the league was always the goal, but getting a guy that you weren't even originally scouting at a high school game, and then getting that player to the NBA? That's elite coaching and development.

Giorgi is the kind of guy NBA GM's would want to have at the end of the bench. Not surprised he is getting looks.
Wouldn’t surprise me if he hung round the g league and had the occasional cup of coffee and maybe catches on. Good wingspan, more athletic than he gets credit for and amazing footwork. He gets a consistent jump shot and improves his defense and he’s got a shot as a change of pace type player off the bench.

Gotta throw a couple props to OA too. Even if it Paign's us.

I just don't think Giorgi is done surprising.
