2021 NCAA Tournament to be held in Indiana

#26
NCAA tourney schedule: - First Four: Thursday, March 18 - First Round: March 19-20 - Second Round: March 21-22 - Sweet 16: March 27-28 - Elite Eight: March 29-30 - Final Four: April 3 and 5

Going Fri/Sat and Sun/Mond instead of Thur/Fri, Sat/Sunday
I hope the Fri/Sat and Sun/Mon combo is a one-year-only Covid change. Part of the fun of the tournament is those daytime Thursday and Friday games; taking the afternoon off or taking a loooong lunch.

So, in theory, a team could be sequestered in Indy from March 18 through April 5 (not likely a 'First Four' team makes it through to the 'Final Four', but still a long time isolated in a hotel room).
Well, if the B1G tourney is there, I would expect the tourney teams to stay through.

"The NCAA will allow a limited number of fans at the 2021 Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, including all rounds and the Final Four. The decision to allow up to 25% capacity with physical distancing was made in conjunction with state and local health authorities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event capacity will include all participants, essential staff and family members of each participating team’s student-athletes and coaches and a reduced number of fans. All attendees must wear face coverings and physically distance during the event. Thorough cleaning, disinfecting and safety measures will be a priority in all venues."

I’m happy for the players who will finally be able to get some in-person support from family, friends and fans.
