IMO Morocco has the best D. Text-book D. Perfect shape all the time. Will not be surprised if they take it all.

I'm sure many of us heard about Grant Wahl's passing over the weekend. Here's his official cause of death from Wahl's widow, who is a doctor, which she posted on Wahl's substack:

"Grant died from the rupture of a slowly growing, undetected ascending aortic aneurysm with hemopericardium. The chest pressure he experienced shortly before his death may have represented the initial symptoms. No amount of CPR or shocks would have saved him. His death was unrelated to COVID. His death was unrelated to vaccination status. There was nothing nefarious about his death."

The hemopericardium she mentions is blood in the sac that surrounds the heart.

Looking ahead before this on is even over. How will auto qualification work for the next WC when US, Canada and Mexico are essentially co-hosts?

Szymon Marciniak of Poland will be the referee for the World Cup final tomorrow. Marciniak is an experienced referee who officiated two group stage matches and a Round of 16 match at Euro 2016, two group stage matches at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and the 2018 UEFA Super Cup Final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. In this tournament, he officiated the France-Denmark group stage match and Argentina-Australia Round of 16 match.

2-1 Les Blues. For all the romance of this being Messi's last World Cup and whether he can finally overcome this one last major hurdle and cement his legacy, I think France is the better, more complete team, and Mbappe is better than Messi at this point in time.
Well add this to the list of things I've been wrong about. Argentina has been dominating this game from the jump.
