Overall - both Morez and Fears showed real flashes during the tournament that gets me excited for both of them wearing the O&B.

Morez is a rebounding maniac who seems to get every rebound in his vicinity and some that are not, he has some low post moves as well - this was not a great tournament to highlight the big men given none of the guards had any interest in passing to a post player when they could get whatever they wanted as well, but you can tell Morez is big ten ready right now

Fears' shooting was up and down, but he's going to be one of the quickest guys on the court when he plays, he propensity for steals is going to translate, his shot looks great, just needs to rein in his shot selection a bit - but again, in this setting when he knows he's just getting 10 min of playing time, if that, he was trying to get his and I don't blame him. His handles and ability to set up teammates is evident as well. He's going to be great

Fears went 3/20 from three. Glad he has another year of HS left, he also only shot 29 % from three in the Nike EYBL circuit last year. Hopefully he can improve on that.

Anyone have a review of the other players? Especially any that will be in the big ten next year?
Agree that Jacobsen for Purdue will likely be a big problem in years to come. Highly skilled big who doesn't have the weight/strength and technique needed to take over this upcoming season, but after that he'll probably be a year in year out 1st team All-B10 candidate in my opinion. He's really good, just won't have a mature enough body to take over next year and should have some early growing pains.

I hope that when Mr. Fears plays for the Illini that we play Arizona and Fears drops a triple double on the mildcats doorstep......

take that tommie boy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..................................I really really do...........................
Or how 'bout Mr. Fears pours in 40, and Mr. Boswell gets the triple-double vs. his former coach!

If Fears joins Illini in January 2025, I hope he spends the time from then to when 25-26 season starts, shooting as much or more at Ubben as Shannon did. Improving 3pt shooting to be consistently reliable and improve on defense will make him a better all around player and would get more minutes as a freshman.
