What are some of the topics that announcers will repeat ad nauseam — some adding their own clever twists — throughout the season that would appear on a mythical Illini Bingo card? I’ll start with a few and, assuming Dan approves this post, we can add more as the topics present themselves.

2025-26 Illini Basketball Bingo Card

1. Petrovic wears 77 a’la Red Grange
2. Tomi got his tonsils removed
3. Humrichous got engaged in the offseason
4. The Balkan pipeline
5. Brad Underwood’s track suit
6. Morez Johnson split for Michigan
7. Ty Rodgers injured/redshirted the year before
8. Ivisic brothers each say they’re the better player
9. Stojakovic’s injury — is he fully recovered?
10. Kylan Boswell is only 20 years old

Any others? Of course there are. This is just scratching the surface.

Will this be the year that ends the "Nick Smith is the tallest player in Illini BB history" quote?

Now we can throw in "Zvonomir Ivisic is the tallest player in Illini BB history"...

Or at least he's tied for that, I suppose.

I was long gone from UofI by then, But, I did see Talking Heads at the Auditorium.
