I love of the 5 B10 guys selected so far and 2 are Illini. 0 SCUM, 0 MSU, 0 IU, 0 Iowa, 0 Wisconsin, 0 UCLA ECT...AND 0 Purdue and I know Purdue is preseason #1 for many but I don't see many 1st rounders for them next season either. Brad Underwood has us trending towards more talent, a developmental destination towards the NBA for young players and a title.

What a great situation it is for KJ to go to the Heat. Feel like he needed to go into an environment with established talent, stability, and a track record. Washington would’ve been a poor situation by comparison (too bad Will went there) Miami checks those boxes though, and I feel like they could really benefit from KJ’s playmaking ability and his elite skill at initiating out of the pick and roll.

Wishing the best for both. Loved rooting for these young men all year. Seem like humble high character guys. Easy to cheer for.

Congrats KJ and Will
Go Illini!

Really Commish? You don't announce the pick as the "World Champion" OKC Thunder?

Frame it and put it in the Louvre.

Those who say he did not shoot the 3 particularly well did not watch him play in 2024. He did struggle after the arm injury, but not a thing wrong with his shot mechanics or his confidence in taking big shots. Once hoops drills fill his daily routine, he can become an elite shooter. 33% is not bad for a B1G frosh, but my expectations are closer to 40 in about 3 years.

Clearly I am biased - but I have no idea how you pick a small guard, who’s an inefficient scorer, and probably the worst defender in the draft over KJ. It is almost impossible to win big with them.

I swear some of these GM’s don’t follow the trends of their own league sometimes.

Danny Wolf crying in the green room is kind of weak. The guy has a degree from Yale. He will be ok
