As a Green Bay fan, I think the same way about Pat Bryant for the Packers. If Bryant is still there at pick 123 (Green Bay's fourth-round pick), I'm really hoping they pick him. I think he would have every chance to work into the wide receiver rotation as a slot receiver.

I've seen Bryant listed as a 5th or 6th round pick value with an upside of a WR2 or WR3 on an NFL roster.

Jags have moved up and traded picks with the Browns. In addition to teams swapping 1st round picks, Browns are getting a 2nd and a 4th this year and a 1st next year. Jags get a 4th and a 6th this year.

Browns traded back and got the better player. Jeez Jacksonville

I think a lot of what Hunter does in Duval is gonna depend on how the Jags use him.

I watch the NFL Network draft coverage every year and Rich Eisen had a great comment when he said that the Browns drafting a Michigan player was a good idea because the player knows how to win in the state of Ohio.

Lol shoot that's hilarious! Agreed, I think Hunter is a great player, just don't understand the need to trade up for him if you're jacksonville.

Draft Projection
Round 1

NFL Comparison
Sam LaPorta

Overview
Talented young tight end with the athletic ability and ball skills to become an elite talent as a pass catcher. Colston plays the game like a big wideout, capable of separating from man coverage and making plays on all three levels. He has good play speed and runs a route tree full of branches, allowing creative play-callers to move him around as a mismatch option. His routes can be a little hurried and lacking in detail but that should change with coaching. He’s graceful in-air and catches the ball with good timing and strong hands. He will keep filling out his frame but is unlikely to ever become more than average as a blocker. Colston’s collection of athletic traits and catch talent creates a high ceiling with the opportunity to become a high-volume target and future Pro Bowler.

Strengths
Capable of running the entire route tree over all three levels.
Wins quickly versus press and eludes redirects in space to keep patterns on time.
Good feel for leveraging defenders out of the break point.
Able to snap off speed cuts at crisp angles to separate.
Bounds over coverage and snatches the ball over his head.
Speed and athleticism to mismatch linebackers in coverage.
Agility and body control to contort in mid-air and make catches.
Quick, sticky hands and an expansive catch radius in all directions.
Talented runner with good vision and change of direction.
Grips tight and runs feet to stay on his block.
Gives good effort and strain to seal the edge when he has the advantage.

Weaknesses
Routes lack speed variances to set up the defense.
Inefficient footwork getting into his breaks.
Average play strength for contested catch battles.
Inconsistent working hard back to the throw.
Will get rag-dolled at the point of attack by NFL power.
Runs into second-level targets but won’t get many wins.
Missed time with injury in 2024.
