Here is the NFL.com draft analysis on Monangai:

Draft Projection
Priority free agent

Overview
Short but stout two-time team captain who is bundled tightly into a compact, muscular frame. Monangai is quicker than fast and lacks breakaway speed but can change the track of the run at a moment’s notice with unpredictable cuts at sharp angles. His vision is average and his lack of run-lane discipline will irk offensive line coaches, but he creates yardage out of nowhere and has exceptional contact balance to repel would-be tacklers. He lacks ideal third-down value, so teams will need to be comfortable with tabbing Monangai as an early-down backup who can handle a heavier carry load if needed.

Strengths
Goes from slow to sudden to catch defense off-guard with downhill cuts.
Makes elusive cuts in the open field at full throttle.
Low center of gravity allows him to stack lateral cuts in an instant.
Sturdy base absorbs hard contact and stays intact.
Eyes play quickly and tend to slow down the action for him at entry points.
Limited targets but can run routes and has natural hands.
Makes it very difficult for defenses to capture him.

Weaknesses
Runs with narrow base and a lack of pace in early stages of the carry.
Drags his back foot on the turf to help gather weight before his cut.
Won’t be able to drift and read for as long as a pro.
Short strides make it harder for him to run away after stopping his feet.
Lacks size and technique to pick up the blitz.
Reacts to what’s in front of him instead of what’s developing.
Lacks top-end speed at the end of his acceleration.

The Browns followed up Shedeur's selection by picking Prime Time Sanders at the # 145 pick.

Have a feeling the Bears FO has the feeling that I’ve had after some fantasy drafts. The snake just didn’t work out this year. Glad they got picks next year.

@IlliniFaninHoosierLand Thank you so much for your hard work in keeping this draft updated! I really appreciate it because I had a hard time watching Kyper and his draft crew. They were really boring to me, and as a Bears fan, the Packer stuff got old quickly…

Beyond the stuff with Deion though there has been a lot of chatter that Shadeur was completely unlikable during interviews and managed to turn off every GM he spoke to. I think that has a bigger impact than his dad especially if it's leading front offices to feel like he isn't coachable.
He just has a lot of toxic masculinity. It’s very hard to deprogram that kind of mentality and he’s toxic in the locker room too. The things he’s said to his teammates and about players who left CU were pretty nasty.
