#4 for UCF is AWFUL. Once he gets the ball, nobody is getting it back. He'd be at absolutely nightmare to play with. He dribbles around like a clown, does something stupid, then tells his teammates "my bad". No ****!

NCAA Tournament bids clinched tonight:

-Southland Conference: McNeese defeated Lamar 63-54. It is the Cowboys' 4th NCAA tournament appearance and their 2nd straight.
-Patriot League: American University defeated Navy 74-52. It is the Eagles' 4th NCAA Tournament appearance, their first since 2014.
-Big Sky Conference: Montana upsets Northern Colorado 91-83. It is the Grizzlies' 13th NCAA Tournament appearance, their first since 2019. It also clinches another NIT auto-bid.

I would have enjoyed watching Jeremiah Fears in the orange and blue. Just sayin.
As much as we all like KJ, Jeremiah Fears has that ability to put a team on his back and take games over like he did tonight. He's the big reason why Oklahoma won. Without him, they are not an NCAA fringe tournament team. Moser got super lucky that he got Fears at the last minute. Probably saved his job for the time being.

Wish we could see Fears come to the Illini next year but I assume he'll be going pro.

This is rough to watch. I remember him saying that when Great Osobor got the bag of money and was the highest paid transfer in college ball, that he wouldn't want to be in his position given that everyone knew what he was making and all the pressure that comes with it. Unfortunately, Coleman found himself in that same position. It's really hard when you've got all that pressure of being one of the highest paid guys and all the social media scrutiny that comes with it.

I think at the end of the day, Jerome Tang's poor roster construction is what did them in. Unfortunately, we all know that Coleman shouldn't necessarily be the guy you build your roster around. He's a glue guy, a connector, and at best a 2nd/3rd option on a team. But, to make him the focal point of the offense and to rely on Dug McDaniel was a recipe for disaster. Tang isn't long for that job despite his charisma if he can't realize that you need guys around Coleman to bring the most out of him.

But, you can tell that Coleman did his best and didn't let the money get to his head. Unfortunately, he didn't have the best pieces around him to have the success that he achieved at Illinois

Gary Parrish saying "social media doesn't help things" is incredibly rich given he was riding shotgun on the Valdez train to absolutely destroy TSJ's life with zero evidence, then won't even give TSJ the decency of a formal apology.

This guy can rot next to Bruce Pearl and Mike Slive.

Had my podcasts on shuffle yesterday at work. Once I got through them it recommended his pod and started playing on its own. IMMEDIATELY turned that Ed Cooley stuff off.
