And people wonder why some think the Big10 is overrated this year, Rutgers is the epitome of why, losing to Hofstra at home, embarrassing for the conference

I totally agree with your point.

However what mental state do you think Rutgers was in from thinking they should have been in the NCAA and 2 days later playing a quality opponent. RU allowing close to 90 points should tell you how focus on the defense end they were

The NIT requires you to forget about the last week quickly or you will be out

Crawl just set Bucky NIT record with 32 points. 7 minutes left in the game

Wisky getting some home cooking. Two travels and get three free throws on the second travel. Crowl going off…gets away with a start of a hook, second start of a hook, then a full hook, foul on Bradley….LOL.

Pitt beats MSS, with MSS missing the shot at the buzzer and the put-back attempt.

IlliniKat91 - I watched the second half of Pitt beats MSS because of your note. You owe me an hour.:cautious: They were terrible. I couldn't tell if it was the players or the coaching. Why was Pitt, shooting 50%+ from 3, passing up open 3s to take strongly contested shots while driving to the basket? Why was MSS so careless with the ball? It was as if they were trying to play 125% of the speed they could actually play. If these are the best remaining teams, the tournament absolutely should not expand.

Oh, and so much for my perfect bracket. I hate trying to predict these play in games.

The best I can do is my sympathies. In my defense, it felt like neither team could miss from 3 for the first half. My post definitely didn't age well 😂

Do they come with cookies?

MSS ended up shooting 45% from 2, and 26% from 3 for the game. Their "offense", and I use that term very loosely, couldn't generate many open looks in the 2nd half, and I don't think that was Pitts fault. MSS got their points inside on badly blown coverages.
