Is the next move to 96 teams?

Top 8 teams in each bracket (32 teams total) get first round byes. Seeds 9-24 in each bracket play a first round game on either Tues/Wed at same location of 2nd and 3rd rounds?

Possibly move Selection Sunday to Selection Saturday Night - primetime slot, forcing teams to finish their conference tourney by 6 pm Saturday.

I think it will happen sooner, rather than later.

I think you are probably right about most or all of this.
Good call.

Personally, I don't feel that the expansion is necessary, but I think expansion is much more likely than that the NCAA agrees with me.
They want more money, not less, is my thinking

Coach looking good on set!

But he'd look soooo much better on the sideline today. I guess it's a good consolation that they wanted him in studio to somewhat keep us out there? I don't know, seeing him there just feels like another punch square in the gut to me :(

Of course the very first game goes to OT on a putback that rolls on top of the rim and falls off at zero.

The NCAA tournament is unmatched.

Was that not a travel by Trae Young? You can only take two steps if you're shooting, right? Or does that also apply to passes?

Penn 21
Kansas 13
5:51 - 1st

I know Kansas will eventually pull it out, but if there were ever a first time a 1 seed would lose to a 16 seed, I'd put my money on Kansas.

That was such a dumb 3 by Norvell on Gonzaga with 27 seconds left and 20 on the shot clock. Thank goodness for him it went in haha. I guess that makes it not dumb.

I'm so tired of seeing good state players leave. I think Lou understood that you had to take the best players from Illinois year after year no matter what. It seems like his strategy was to take what the state had to offer, even in down years. Maybe I'm just remembering what I want to remember.

I think that's true. But recruiting was a lot more regional back in Lou's heyday.

We still lost good Illinois players to other schools. DePaul, Iowa with Horton and Earl, Indiana with Anderson, Reynolds, Thomas. Notre Dame with Ellis, Purdue with Cuonzo.

The players have to want to come as well
