I picked Wilmington over Virginia in my bracket. Keatts over Bennett

UNCW takes a lot of rushed shots. It looks impressive when shots go in. It looks bad when shots aren't falling.

These are two really well coached teams. Virginia got punched in the mouth but they're settling down and playing their game. Starting to tighten the screws.

I still love the way UNCW passes and spreads the floor.

It's going to be a long second half for UNCW if the best they can get is one fallaway/fadeaway jumper after another.

It's what everyone wanted Groce fired for. Bailout jumpers at the end of the shot clock.

I'm assuming X's and O's are in question?

Butler and Winthrop off to a fun start. I love Keon Johnson when he isn't killing us.

Every style of offense looks great when talented, experienced players are executing it efficiently, getting the shots they want and making them most of the time. If Groce had an elite point guard, another big time rebounder down low, and two more 40% 3pt shooters, he'd look like an offensive genius running the exact scheme that some believe cost him his job. Not implying that talent is the only factor, but if there were "good" and "bad" offensive systems, everyone would run the same stuff.

Beautifully said.

Why? I like Keatts but Bennett has a proven history in a major conference. Keatts hasn't really recruited yet.

Keatts has a unique education in how every major recruiter handles recruits and coaches.
Also, as the announcers said at the beginning of the game, he has nationwide recruiting contacts due to his background.

And Keatts is only losing by 1 with half the level of talent. Pretty impressive IMO.

In these 5/12, 4/13, 6/11 games......The reason you see the upsets you do is because the higher seed is playing with 100% of the pressure. If UNCW loses, so what? If Virginia loses, it's the talk of day one.

The lower seeds are always playing with house money, however once the higher seed catches their breath and gets momentum....Which Virginia has, order is usually restored.

UNCW getting better looks now. That's not talent. That's just smarter basketball and coaching adjustments.
