Agree, NU has shown improvement since Collins was hired. For the past 5 years at illinois, theres been too many slow starts, blowouts and really no sense of improvement in our record

This is the post of a jaded Illini fan. It's ok, jump in the pool, the water's warm.

What he has done there in what, four years, is amazing. It isn't some slow down, Princeton drool either. They have legit athletes, they have size, they have depth.......And they have the point guard. So important.

It has nothing to do with their schedule. It's a good team and he's a real good young coach.

As fans, it's nothing more than sour grapes to tear them down. The reality is, they're good, we aren't, we need to get better.

Bill Murray watching Xavier since his son is an assistant coach. Was a time when he would be watching the Illini in the tournament......

I understand there's a family connection, but I received a yahoo alert that "Xavier superfan Bill Murray excited over win...". I mean, this guys got way too many mixed loyalties. Off the top of my head I remember him rooting for Illinois (especially in the EE game against Az) and then several years later rooting on Arizona in the tournament. Now he's a Xavier superfan? I know it's nice to have a celebrity fan of your team, but at some point it does feel kind of cheap.

Actually, on the replay the Vandy kid is obviously confused and looks up to Drew to see what to do but Bryce is looking upcourt with his back to the ball. With no feedback, the kid panicked and decided to foul. I do put that on the coach to a certain extent

And I would put that on you as an incorrect assessment to a certain extent.

Just a family connection? His son is an Assistant Coach at Xavier. A little more than a connection. Did you see Doug Collins today? Most people are going to root for their son/daughters team to succeed.

Nevada plays zero defense. Iowa St doing whatever whenever they want.

This Florida battle is awesome. Most entertaining game of the day. 2 Florida teams, playing in Florida, both play fast, both have amazing athletes, dunks, blocks....the only thing this game is missing is 2 coaches who are candidates for our team.

Win or lose, I like the way that Buzz Williams' Tech team attacks the basket against Wisconsin. I am so tired of the jacking up contested threes routine of the past 8-10 years.

Check out this photo right as the foul occurs. Player is looking at his coach for what to do while guarding guy with the ball, but Drew (and the rest of his bench) is already focused on the other end of the court. Explain what is incorrect about the assessment.

Again, I'm not totally against Drew coming here but just calling that play like I saw it.

In my opinion, this is all on the player. This is a player awareness flaw, not a coaching flaw. As a player, you have to know the situation, especially in this big of a moment.
