Welcome to the (non-IL) men's college basketball games thread.

NCAA Tournament First Four Day 1

16 UMBC vs 16 Howard, 5:40pm CT, truTV

11 Texas vs 11 NC State, 8:15pm CT, truTV

Plus 8 NIT games, if you're into that sorta thing.

Auburn's playing in the NIT today, that's good for the comedic value alone
My brother in law got his PhD there under a Fulbright Scholarship, great aquaculture dept,
not enough for me to root for them with their current coach, though

Watched most of UMBC vs Howard - mainly because I love dogs so the Retrievers' logo lured me in. Michigan will beat either of these two by 50.

I just noticed the Wisconsin and High Point is in Portland and tipping off at 10:50AM local time.

Arizona the following day at 10:35AM local time.

Has there always been examples of this? That seems wild

I remember a few years back when there were games in Salt Lake City, I believe the first of the two second round games at the site started at 10:00 AM local time.

Howard gets their first NCAA tourney win before Nebraska
So that means we get Moe Howard?

I'll see myself out.

I hate displaying my ignorance but is this an example of aquaculture?

I gambled and bought four tickets for the second round in St. Louis; since we are not in St. Louis, I need to resell. Any idea the best place to do that? Ticketmaster seems to have fee for buyers and sellers so makes the price go up a lot.

If nothing else, having Barkley and Vitale part of the commentary team for this second game will at least make things entertaining.
I can’t stand it. On and on they go talking about most everything except the game being played. It’s nausiating and doesn’t entertain me in the slightest. Some of their suggestions for college basketball are idiotic.

It’s kind of annoying the committee put Texas, BYU, and NC state all in the same pod.

All 3 of those teams deserve a first round exit for the money spent on their rosters and underachievement

Geeze, for anyone who questions Brad's baseline out of bounds plays, watch Texas. BU looks like John Wooden compared to Sean Miller. They literally look like they haven't been coached to inbound and break a press. They're in the midst of blowing a 9 point lead in 2 minutes.
Our inbound plays seem to be based on getting the ball in our hands rather than a potential designed scoring play… bottom line we make it work! lob out to a position player and work from there. Some will be critical but I like keeping possession! Won’t hear me crying!
Baseline plays are the same… get it in our hands.

Idk if I’d include BYU in that … Saunders loss was a huge deal …

Kentucky spent like $22 million … Think that’s the worst ROI in the country …

Texas didn’t spend as much as people think … Lower Middle of the SEC in spending … Little over half what we spent …
