Why are they even playing the second half? The refs have already decided Miami is moving on. Seven fouls and a highly questionable F1 on SMU in the first five minutes of the half. Ridiculous.

I can tell him how Auburn did against its chosen peers — 7-11. A team that can’t finish at least .500 in its conference shouldn’t be in unless it wins an automatic bid. I don’t care how big or supposedly good the conference is. You chose to join the conference or remain in it because of the advantages it gives you, most importantly media revenues. Another benefit shouldn’t be you get in with a subpar conf record.

Nah. He was protecting himself from falling and didn’t come down hard on the guy. Ridiculous call. And all those early fouls took them out of the game quickly. Pure garbage.

Maybe but the Miami guy sold it well falling to the floor holding his head, something Keaton would do well to copy once in a while

I’ve watched a lot of their games this year. They move the ball well and can really shoot. They are also kinda slow, bad defensively, rather unathletic and a bunch of skinny dudes who may well get abused by P4 athletes… but, with the way they shoot, they can knock a lot of teams off on the right night (i.e. Oakland v Kentucky a few years ago).

I'd say it should move them up some in the rankings. Can't say how much without all the specifics. Winning a few games would do a lot more

Edit: a single close win as a ~10pt underdog just doesn't move the needle a ton after 30+ games

Now that we have the specifics, I'll go with what KenPom says (Torvik had them at #88 but hasn't updated yet; I'm comfortable with wherever they end up there as well):
Miami OH: #93 -> #89
SMU: #42 ->#46

If they keep winning, my opinion will continue to change in proportion to who they beat and by how much.

Edit: to all the Miami lovers, did you put money on the game? If you were so sure that KenPom, Torvik, and sportsbooks were wrong, why not? I say this because just because a hunch works out doesn't prove the sportsbooks wrong.

The line not moving much after Edward's was ruled out was the biggest surprise to me. After that happened, and the line stayed where it was, it was a huge value play to take Miami.

When you hit 16 threes and only turn it over 4 times that’s a good night

I put money on the Miami game. And I did It two days ago before any of the injury updates. i almost won more for betting that they’d win by 11+. 😡
