This is why Coach Underwood took a page out of Izzo's book. It's not like we didn't care about the B1G tourney... we did. But getting the two day bye, one and done, two days of extra rest, and some billboard material. It's not the worst way to go into the tourney. Brad said he's locked in on the dance this year. Let's see if the team delivers. I am cautiously optimistic. Which is new. And somewhat alarming now that I think about it.

UK, Memphis, L'ville, KU hire coaches of a certain type. It has been pretty successful for them, and I don't expect they will change. I can't imagine Cal going anywhere, but they would want Pitino. Kelvin maybe. Wait awhile and go for Sean Miller or Wade.

I watched their conference championship.
1. His mom thought he’d look nice in a suit, but then he wore a vest one game and that seemed ‘more formal’, and she approved. And he’s been winning in it, so it hasn’t come off.
2. Also, Freeman on the Zips is an incredible walk-on story, won conference DPOY.

John Groce's Akron Zips leading UCLA 20-17 with over 5 minutes to go in 1st half.
Iowa and Indiana had each played 4 games in the previous 7 days. Not a good way to prep for a single elimination tournament.
