I call it death by paper cuts - 1 paper cut not a foul - its just a hard hand-check, a swipe that hits the arm, a little push, bump, hack, nudge, small grab, .... , 100 paper cuts by 8 minutes into game is not a foul yet but other team is not allowed to play gets frustrated and affects all aspects of game, 500+ paper cuts during the course of a game = death. of the tourny games I've watched its in top 3 of most physicality allowed
Although it wasn't 500 paper cuts, I believe this is what PU did to Illinois in their game. Makes sense.

I don't know if I'm allowed to say this here, but hopefully everyone will get off Painter's jock. I do not envy his resume. Consistently above average but never a threat to be elite. Nice guy though.

I didn't watch the game, but how was the officiating. I wouldn't be surprised if the stats contradict my next statement, but I believe the Big Ten officials were favorable to PU. I just wonder if this played a role in the loss.
The Refs were balanced. They missed calls (Charges, arm grabbing, blocked shots) equally in the last 5 minutes. But maybe the Big Ten will tell their officials to start calling all this shXX. Because B1G teams need to learn to pass and shoot, not just beat each other up. PSU and NW seem to play more of an NCAA game this year, than anyone else in the B1G.

I wonder what Princeton and FDU paid in NIL this year?

FDU played the way BU wants us to play….hair on fire. He just wasn’t able to get the buy in with our crew this year. Harris and Rodgers types. Problem is both of them can’t shoot the ball at all. When they put up Sencire’s FT% at 22% OMG….tell me it isn’t true.

Big ten teams routinely lack the athleticism/length/quickness combination. Lots of strong, slow guys with generally high skill levels. The problem is when you meet teams who have high skill levels with the athleticism/length/quickness combination you’re screwed.

FDU didn’t have much length, but their athleticism and quickness allowed them to play “lengthier” vs Purdue.

It had to be maddeningly frustrating to Purdue's outside guys. FDU just literally let them shoot unguarded 3's repeatedly and multiple guys just couldn't make any.

That and Edey vanishing in the last 10 minutes didn't help either. Painter has a rep as a tourney choker and this one cements it.

I am cackling. I was out on this tournament after we lost, but now I am all the way back in. Too hilarious.
