That game was an abomination. Syracuse made 15 fgs and won. Izzo was coaching like he had CTE. Probably the most talent the little man ever had on a roster this season, woof.

Nice loss by Sparty - SU just hopes to get in the tourney so their zone can become much more of an advantage against teams that don't play against it very often.

At least Tommy has a short ride home.

The announcer said it was a good shot, but I thought Sparty was all discombobulated on the crucial possession where they were down by one with a little more than a minute left.

They had two time outs left, and I was sure Izzo was going to call one when they had a little reset with around 12 on the shot clock. But they didn't, and settled for a contested "can't deal with the zone" three (have we ever seen that?)

I root for the B1G nearly all of the time, but I'm fine not having to listen to a week of how Izzo and Sparty overcame the "adversity" they've faced this season.

Yep. That 2-3 zone is a killer, especially when you don't see it much -- if at all -- during the season.

Syracuse always has a fighting chance in March for this very reason. Yes, Sparty massively choked. But Syracuse was not the sort of 11 seed you wanted to see.

Big ten officiating carried MSU all yr, they didn’t get away w all the hacking they do in the regular season

It effected SU just as much. Pretty well officiated game I thought.

Always a joy to see UNC losing. Go A&M!

they seemed to swallow whistle last few minutes of the game before the intentionals...agree I liked the way it was called except for 10 minute out of bounds delay

UNC down 20 to A&M. Going to need some ice packs to sit on for the bus ride home.

UNC down 22? Holy... Not complaining, but wow what a tournament. Not used to seeing half of the top seeds fall the first weekend. UMBC can win it all if it keeps going like this. ;)

MSU did not play well at all today. Looked like they expected to win & were already looking forward to next weekend.

Michigan State took a lay up approach to the Big 10 Tourney and did the exact same thing in the Big Dance, When are we ever going to learn.

I watched UNC against ND when we were down our top 2 players and they only won due to a blown call. I was never high on them. Not surprised they lost.

They played exactly like this at VaTech as well this year - really uninspiring play. Loved the way they got shot after shot blocked.

Another short ride home.

MSU lost at Detroit and UNC loses at Charlotte....got to love March madness.

Now if UMBC knocks of Bruce...it will be an even better weekend.

BW was at the helm for the greatest Illini season since I have been a fan. I don't begrudge him some success this year. As long as they play, I'll be rooting for him.
