He had 23 points, 13 boards, and 5 assists on 10-15 shooting. He brought the ball down a couple times he shouldn't have but he's a really good player.
Agree, but he seems turnover prone when it counts. He did it against us as well.

Fun fact about Oral Roberts: If they had missed that last FT in regulation and lost by 1, they would have set the record for highest team FT% in a season. However, in OT they missed 3 of 8 free throws to fall .0007% behind Harvard's all time record.

There are more situations in which a team fouls up 3 and loses in regulation than letting someone attempt the 3 to tie. At least if you don't foul the worst case scenario is OT.

Do you have numbers to support this?

Even Pomeroy said it was statistically insignificant either way.

To be clear, I am fully supportive of the smart fouling when up 3.

Liddell is a good kid so I won’t say this with serious malice. But I wonder if he’s still glad he chose his “dream school.”

I wanted him on the Illini bad, he is a stud. His recruitment has always stuck with me, would have taken us out of the dumpster even faster.

When he called OSU his dream school it always bugged me, even though he said it was bc he grew up a Buckeye football fan. Oh well!

Great find

I don't mean more likely, just there are scenarios that open up that allow a win in regulation when fouling up 3 rather than defending straight up (like 2 FT and a steal/basket, 1 FT and an OR-3, FTs made, FT missed on other end, basket to win). Overall it's statistically insignificant either way in terms of W/L overall.

He now has plenty of time to watch osu spring football......hope he's glad and not dreaming of "what could have been "

Most nights in the big ten they went in. Not many other shooters in the league who I feared
Among players that got rotation minutes, Duane Washington was the least efficient offensive player on that Ohio State team and had the lowest true shooting percentage of anyone on the team. However, he did take the most shots.

Meanwhile, Tennessee is taking a beating unlike any non-16 seed to this point in the tournament.
