This game made me realize 3 things:

1. Hubert Davis won't be coaching at UNC too long.

2. The UNC players earned this one by themselves and only themselves.

3. The refs influenced this game beyond belief. None of that "well you just gotta control what you can and hit your shots/FTS/ play defense, etc. They were abysmal.

This may have been just a game to go to the sweet 16, but NO team is gonna try to outdo the 2005 Illinois comeback against Arizona (two heavy weights) to go to the Final Four.

You said it. I was disgusted with the leniency on Baylor's defense BEFORE the Flagrant 2 objection. I am in disbelief at how it just kept getting worse and worse.

I made a post on selection Sunday saying I hope the Illini get in Baylor's bracket because they were over rated. "Ultimate insider" wanted to unlike my comment and said I was dead wrong. I guess N C proved me correct.

I rarely if ever watch NBA on TNT or whatever it is, but not at all impressed with Kenny Smith as a studio announcer
