What a shot by Koenig!!! Sucks to see NI blowing this game. Some questionable officiating though

man, what a faceplant. 44 seconds, unreal that UNI couldn't get the dang ball in bounds that many times in a row.

The late Friday games and that sequence that just ended is some of the best tourney drama ever.

Absolutely gave the game away. One boneheaded play after another.

Ever see the guy trapped at the baseline jump out of bounds and try to bounce it hard off the opponent's legs, only to have it hit the floor hard, bounce right up to the opponent for a clean catch, and an easy lay-in? Twice? Unbelievable way to lose throw it into the frontcourt to the other team and you probably still win.

Say what you will about UNI, just don't call them boring!

Amazing pair of shots by Koenig at the end. The guy seems to come up huge every year in the tourney.

Can anyone explain how someone would offer an already failed Cal 120 mil in the NBA vs giving a guy like Greg Marshal a contract?

I don't mean to keep ragging on UNI - I was pulling for them in this game - but this is historical stuff. For anyone who watched it and just remembers a blur of ineptitude the last 35 seconds or for those who were watching Wisky and not flipping back and forth. Here's a vine by vine play account of the collapse. Just incredible.
Simply put, this is the biggest collapse ever seen. The Panthers had to give up six baskets in just about one shot clock's worth of time.

Not too mention the two handed shove in the back of the SFA player who was going grab that ball before it was tipped in. Wow. Brutal way too have the game taken from you.

Did anyone else notice SFA's fight song during the game? Sound familiar? :thumb:

Heck of a day of basketball in the state of Iowa. I think I would rather go out like Iowa in a terrible 40 minutes of basketball rather then be UNI and have that game haunt me all my life.

It's crazy how much things had to go right for A&M there. Two attempts to throw the ball off an A&M player that miss that lead to wide open lay ups. Other throw aways too. Just mind boggling.

That last basket, the kid in the corner from UNI was nudged forcefully out of bounds and the ref was right there watching it and didn't call a thing.

Refs don't like making calls in the final seconds because ya know...."let the players decide the game".

He would have been better off just falling out of bounds. He might have gotten a foul call and at worst he wouldn't have given A&M an assist on an easy layup.
