First NCAA Tournament win for the Dukes since 1969 when they defeated St. John's in an East regional 3rd place game.
Congrats to Duquesne. Well deserved for them. That said, BYU just laid a complete egg today. I did not see that coming. Gotta come out hard against Morehead State. In these 30min before tipoff, I hope Brad is saying just that- you don't come out hard from the opening tip, you go home.
I watched most of that game in the background without sound, but it looked to me like a foul could have been called on almost every possession. Shooters were getting bumped on almost every shot, but ESPECIALLY by Duquesne on defense.

Good team DQ is. But when we win and play Saturday they haven’t seen a TJ on the lose.
My son and I are doing a stupid 17 game parlay on Draft Kings and taking the points on this game was one of our big reaches. Should have taken the Dukes outright.
I will say, Duquesne is tough, plays really good defense, and don't play scared. There shot selection is questionable (that's being kind) and we are top to bottom more talented, but they wouldn't be a walk in the park if we win today.

Creighton up 20 on Akron. If I'm McDermott, I figure out ways to get my guys some rest. I know they don't go deep, but they have a chance with a short turnaround to limit at least a few minutes.
Easy, easy. We still have work to do today. We could easily lose to morehead st.

This is why people need to not overreact on Selection Sunday getting concerned with a "bad draw". This is every team's fans. For us, people were complaining that BYU was a 5 seed disguised as a 6. As it turns out, the game will never happen. All you can do is beat the team in front of you. So, let's just do that.

I don't bet a lot, but how does one expect to win a 17 team parlay...and what is the payoff if you were to pull that out?
Haha and here Robert's podcast was just this wave of back-and-forth about BYU's seeding and how we're not going to complain about it and how they're definitely underseeded and the committee really doesn't hate Illinois but they kinda do. And then they lost the game anyway.

We honestly don’t expect to win, but it’s a fun lottery ticket. $10 bet pays out $72k. Had we picked Duquesne outright, the total payout would have been over $100k.
