Troy had a real chance with Kentucky missing some bunnies to make it tight, but couldn’t take advantage.

Mtn West wasnt very good this year. NM (Richard Pitino) imo won because they tended to not make many mistakes, and they were solid enough otherwise. Colo St is def not that good, but they just beat Memphis (Memphis had a lot more turnovers). NV absolutely stunk at the beginning of the year, but ended up being ok at the end. Last game of the year they were significantly better than NM, but lost to NM anyway because NM made fewer mistakes.

Troy had its chance to make this close early in the 2nd half. Kentucky had three straight possessions where they missed bunnies, and any conversion would have made it a 5 or 6 point game. Troy couldn’t convert, Kentucky hit a few shots, and that was that.

When you are the underdog, you have to take your opportunities when you have them in front of you.

Is it just me, or does Marquette also have a pretty consistent record of underachieving in the NCAA tournament?

Akron looked like a high school team playing against Arizona. Feel for Groce but they had a great season up until today.
