It’s so painfully obvious that this region was ours for the taking had we been able to get past Loyola today. Just the worst possible matchup for us so early in the tournament. Just heart broken.
So my choices are to root for Michigan and Iowa, or to watch our BTT championship get eroded to a mid major quality tourney win in the public’s eye? Super day.

Wow, the Midwest is a disaster. Other than Houston (who barely pulled out a win) the favorites have been getting absolutely handled. Makes the Illini crapping out early all the more infuriating.

The cruel irony here is that historically our bracket NEVER falls apart for us. Ever. The one time it finally does and we completely biff our chance at it.
As soon as our collapse was complete I made the comment that the bracket will fall open now. And it did.
