Sure the refs let them play a lot tonight but I love how in-your-face JMU was on both ends. They clearly weren't afraid of the moment. Wisconsin was shook from the opening jump and looked like they were lacking greatly in the confidence department all night.James Madison was so sorely underseeded. Wisconsin got screwed with their draw.
Side benefit of Wisconsin losing, we get Duke vs Dukes on Sunday.
There are too many Dukes left in this tournament, and it's Illinois' job to reduce the Duke count by 1 tomorrow.
Ordinarily I root for the upset but I simply can’t get with the whole Grand Canyon vibe at all. Feels like an AI-generated fanbase or if a weird religious cult formed a basketball team
I was at the game when our guys played them in Phoenix a few years back. One of the loudest sports environments I’ve ever experienced (until we made them quiet down). But I don’t think you’re entirely wrong about the religious-cult type vibe.
It appears Jamall Walker might finally be able to benefit from the suspension he first earned from his time coaching at Illinois.Ordinarily I root for the upset but I simply can’t get with the whole Grand Canyon vibe at all. Ain't no laws when you're gettin' bad drawsThat sounds eerily similar to a couple of orange and blue "draws". At least this year will make up for all of that and then some
Could not agree more. Badgers embarrassed themselves and the entire B1G tonight with as poor of a game as I have seen from a B1G team in decades...and maybe ever. I kept waiting for them to do something right...and waiting...and waiting. Sad. I know they have talent and good coaching, but they performed like a bunch of scrubs and made every wrong play all night. Normally, I like watching them play...but tonight it was painful. I have no explanation or insight other than the memory of dreadful play.Sure the refs let them play a lot tonight but I love how in-your-face JMU was on both ends. I'll save this post and share it in 2028 when the Big Ten Network wants to get the Phoenix market and we bring them into our conference...How nuts would it be if GCU managed to keep building their NIL up and sportswash their way into a power 5 someday lol
Illinois originally produced bothOakland produced Kendrick Nunn, and Grand Canyon produced Micheal Finke... Legit programs that are making noise this year
