NCAA Tournament 2nd Round Day 1

2 Arizona vs 7 Dayton, 11:45am, CBS
4 Kansas vs 5 Gonzaga, 2:15pm, CBS
1 North Carolina vs 9 Michigan State, 4:30pm, CBS
2 Iowa State vs 7 Washington State, 5:10pm, TNT

11 NC State vs 14 Oakland, 6:10pm, TBS
2 Tennessee vs 7 Texas, 7:00pm, CBS
3 Creighton vs 11 Oregon, 8:40pm, TBS

I resent how CBS does this every year with the solo games… but I guess they paid a lot of money so they can do what they want.

Not particularly excited about the first game but hopefully Dayton proves me wrong.

OSU v. VT this evening @ same time as Oakland v. NC St, Texas v. TN, and the start of our game. Unusual.

Every 1 and 2 seed is in for a tough battle except for Arizona IMO. Some very good games on paper.

I think 3 of the 8 will fall this weekend. No idea who but my guess is Marquette, Houston, and Iowa St.

NW and MSU will hang tough but fall off the last 5-7 min.

We shall see. I was shocked by that too. If the young Izzo shows up as a member of Club Trillion in this one, it's a blowout one way or the other.

Oakland coach giving us and the atmosphere at Assembly Hall some props on CBS, saying he knew they had a good team when they almost beat Ohio State and then played us 3 days later (“and you’ve all been there and know what it’s like to play in that place, and we were tied with 7 minutes to go”).

Arizona game really early for them. It be nice to see Dayton beat them with the time zone advantage.

What a glorious afternoon. A ribbon of intense basketball in front of us stretching to late evening; the Illini matchup as a after-dinner jewel; and basking in the afterglow of two exciting days of games-in-parallel and Satan's ignominious first-round exit.
