ksu offensive scheme is perfect for Epps if he stays.......BU , you need to look at the spacing and angles ksu had all game long.......
And understand how a 5’8” guard is not getting abused on defense.

Post game Izzo complaining about lucky bank shots cost them the game..

That is ok, grapes a little sour, but you have to give a shout out to Nowell, 20 pts, one lucky bank shot, 19 assists, 0 flukes, at least a dozen jaw dropping passes for assists.
Kansas St shot and missed three shots from around 30 feet down the stretch to give Mich State a chance.

Gonzaga gave the game away at the end by missing free throw after free throw after free throw. The one that did go in missed so badly that it bounced up and fell through. Then when they were down one with more than enough time left to get to the hoop and either get a bucket, a foul or a rebound, they jack up an ill-advised three from the logo and it goes in.

They did everything wrong in the final two minutes and miraculously finished with more points.
UCLA didn’t score for over 11 minutes.
Eleven.
It was a crazy finish, but UCLA did more than enough to lose in the second half.

They had the length and athleticism to guard us 1 on 1 and high(er) point rebounds on us.
They did. And they closed the gaps quickly.
Athletic and they got after it.

Although, overall…based on what they did against us, I was not that impressed. A lot of forced shots and they didn’t execute. Young and pretty ho-hum for a typical Musselman team...I’m not taking anything away from UCONN…they’re damn good! They could win it all IMO.

Our defense fell of a cliff..late in the season. as we know. Our ReBounding left something to be desired indeed. AND our offense was…well you know….so we’ll never know. But IF we played like we did at couple points this year…MORE than beatable. If we play like we did the beginning of the year I think we beat ‘em 3-4 out of ten times….IF we played like we were capable.

It’s a pointless and silly comparison but I think the Houston team from a year ago…beats Arkansas handily.

Sounds kinda familiar doesn't it..........

Btw , why oh why didn't ucla guard the ball in the backcourt ???.......They let the zags come up court uncontested and the way it looked to me was the one guard drove it up the court and fed the trailing Strather for the long 3 pointer for the ,win .....i bet that was the play drawn up by Few......

Gonzaga ran the called play, but the pass just came a second early so the shot was farther out. It's not exactly true to say Strawther took a hero ball shot.

I can't imagine he will let it stop him from playing, but I hope Nowell's ankle is OK for tomorrow. Really an entertaining guy to watch.
