I am not chalking up KSU to a fluke, just wondering why the KSU head coach could not produce anything close in year 6 at Ill.

I saw it called "luck", but not a fluke. And no matter who you are you rely on a lot of luck in the tourney. It just so happens that K-State got an extra dose of luck to get them where they are. That doesn't take anything away from what they have done, it is just the simple truth of the situation.

Bruce Weber still got to an Elite Eight and one of the teams he beat was Kentucky. Who knows? Maybe Loyola will win it all? At least Chicago has a team to root for.

Even if they lose in th FF, the state of Illinois has a team to be proud of and w model to follow.
