3/24 Games

I think loyola could beat FSU...but not Michigan unless they are horrendous from 3. If Wagner hitting avg % of threes, mu would be up 10 plus.

very happy for the Ramblers & their fans . Hope they win it all tbh haha

Kinda rooting for Michigan in the 2nd game vs the Criminoles . (Its a good game so far ). Wolverines have the superior coach and smarter players imo.

Agree. FSU guys are great athletes but not great basketball players...no offensive cohesion..take it to the hole.

1963 Loyola team that won a NC, beat a very good Illinois team in the Regional finals in order to go to the FF. Otherwise, Illinois would have been to FF that year.

And, of course, Michigan only got this far because of a virtual prayer shot. It's almost like shades of 1989.

I was surprised to hear that the 32 victories is the most in Michigan history.

So, does anyone know if NW can get any of their money back for that whole Chicago's Team campaign. Gonna look pretty silly next year.:D;):p

Any of the older boarders on here recall the old Loyola mascot, a hobo named Bo Rambler? He seemed like a tight little dude.

Well, I’m rooting for Loyola for several reasons. First, it’s an Illinois school. Second, I think Michigan has done enough to protect or redeem the B1G's reputation. Third, we are more likely to be pitted against Michigan in recruiting battles. And fourth, to the extent any further wins augments Michigan’s recruiting advantage and results, we already have enough teams in the B1G way above us on the totem pole.

Not fouling?

Providence did the same thing Round 1

Did anybody see Leonard Hamilton's post-game interview on this?

Granted, reporters trying to press coaches on why they didn't do X, Y, or Z right after a heartbreaking season-ending loss doesn't always produce a very polite response. But dang......Hamilton's response was pretty bad.

"Why didn't you foul down 4 with 11 seconds left?"

"Because the game was over"

With no time outs and 11 seconds left, you need to foul twice, and hope Michigan goes 2-4 at best. Xavier Simpson shoots like 50% at line, the other guys shoot like 75-80. If you get lucky you need a couple 3s. A long shot, yes, especially cause FSU has like one reliable shooter. Impossible? No.

I’d even foul in that situation down 6. 7? I could understand letting it ride.
