Refs say they want players to decide the outcome of a game. If they don't make a crucial call, aren't they deciding the outcome of the game?

Koenig should have made that layup too.

I hate that excuse for the refs. It is garbage. Fouls should be called same regardless of score and time.

I find it hard not to root for Gonzaga. Few seems like a good guy and I like the way they play. Hopefully they can pull this out against Syracuse.

I laughed when I read this as I was fixing supper and took the time to replay it for the wife several times and counted the fouls as they happened.

Hayes shouldn't have tried to split the double team, but he was undoubtedly fouled several times. Whether it be football, or basketball you better have a big lead on ND, because of the "luck o the Irish". Fact is they always seem to have the referees in their pockets.

It looked to me both times I saw the replay that Hayes lost the ball when splitting the double (which was eminently splittable) when Vasturius grabbed Hayes left arm from behind just as Hayes was going to the dribble with his left. If you see it again watch Vasturius act the choir boy after he did it; I think he knew he got away with one. No matter to me. I hate ND but they'll catch their due when they get to NC, which looks like the best team left IMO.

Well I won't be watching the acc invitational on Sunday. Besides k is there a bigger prick in the college game than boeheim?

He is a smug arse. Was hoping that blown call would give the Zags a chance to beat them. (BTW, how in the world does the ref way out near halfcourt make that call??) If the Zag guard drops it on the floor to Sabonis on that last drive rather than trying to float it over the 8 footer, the Zags would've won. As throughout the game, Sabonis had his guy sealed off perfectly on that play and would've had an easy dunk.

I'm not a Wisconsin fan, but I'm definitely NOT a Notre Dame fan and besides its a ACC team for goodness sake!!!! I hate the slobbering, sickening over the top accolades and constant chatter they get on ESPN from all the ex-ACC commentators and court side announcers that pile on. Wisconsin didn't help themselves down the stretch, but the refs were horrible. If this was Illinois, we would all be !!!!!ing' and this thread would be many, many pages long, I haven't forgotten or forgiven the zebras from 2005 championship game. I am a BIG TEN HOMER!!! I loathe IU, but you can bet I was pulling for them against North Carolina (Fraud U). Sorry for the rant Dan.:frustrated:
