I think it was an ok no call, but we would have been called for the foul with the opposition getting free throws to win.
This could be the beauty of him making an E8 if someone like KU or UNC goes after him. No idea if that’s in the cards.

I watched them lose to Maryland in College Park last month. Never would I have imagined them in the E8.
You could argue Iowa winning is almost as bad? Maybe worse?
If you're Miller, you HAVE to deny Smith the inbounds pass. You can't just let him walk it up the floor and ISO. Had to make someone else handle it.
We had Wisky, us, MSU in 2005.

I think the ref told Hoiberg he needed another player…and Hoiberg said “That’s my team on the floor.”
4...SEC last year and couple times prior to that... ACC and big east
The refs are not allowed to let play start until they have assured that there are ten players on the court. Nebraska bench is, of course, at fault but so are the officials.

You either deny the inbounds pass, or you have to double Smith to get the ball out of his hands. McCollum did something similar against Florida where he doubled the ballhandler and forced Florida to 1) spend time making a pass and 2) getting the ball out of the main ballhandler's hands.
It is a fine no call. It looked worse in slow motion than real time too.

I'll take your word for it, but I thought it was like football where if you're playing one short, it's not the officials' fault that you can't count to 5 (or 11 in football).
But if that's the case and it's in the rules that the officials can't start until they know each team has five players on the floor, is there any room for a Nebraska protest? Now to be clear, I DO NOT want to see that. If you can't count to 5, that's on you. But, that would be a misapplication of a rule and not a judgment call.

I really hope Ben McCollum gets picked up by a big blue blood program. For one he’s a class act. It makes it harder to hate Iowa….but man he’s a damn good coach.
That AZ team looks kinda scary.
They do but we wouldn't have to see them until the title game if that happens. Anything can happen once you in that game. The thing about AZ is they won't have the height advantage over us and so far we have shown we can play any style of basketball.
I know you are probably stating in general 'That AZ team looks kinda scary' and not really talking about whether we would play them.
After briefly considering it, I will be rooting for Alabama to beat scUM. Getting revenge on Bama in the Title game would be better than scUM making it past the Sweet 16
