BUT- this doesn't give me a ton of hope against Duke lol. They look like a completely different team now that they are healthy again.

Hurley just refused to pick up the ball for the ref. I’m sure that going to help with the whistle. What a cry baby. Hard to have sympathy for this level of arrogance.

To beat Duke we'll have to keep the defense, rebounds, and add in hitting 3's
And Cayden dude’s no nepo. He consistently gets to the cup with elite accel- and deceleration. Sarr can knock down shots. Foster can create for himself.
There’s a reason Duke could not just stay with but beat Michigan.

Just my opinion, but it’s because Duke is taking it to UCONN. Clearly the aggressor. When you play soft, you get beat or caught.
Like last night especially in the first half. Iowa fans were vocal about calls and such. But, it was very simple if looking at the game. The Illini were the tougher/stronger team. Even in the second half when it leveled out, with questionable calls on both sides, the Illini’s aggressiveness is what wore Iowa down. They finally broke and had no answer.
I’ve never been a big calls/refs guy. If a teams good enough (this level good), they’ll find a way.
Go Illini
Illinois will be a heavy underdog in the Final 4. But who cares? Only four teams get to play at this level. We’re one of them. It’s all gravy at this point.
