Officials are allowing Duke to get away with so many fouls, Flagg is the darling and can push, shove, elbow his way around without a call against. This game is OVER for AL.
Did you just start watching college basketball? Duke has consistently gotten favorable officiating for over a quarter of a century now. Add that to what is usually the most talented team in the country and it really isn't fair.

huh? Mediocre? Most March Madness fans are casual fans, not just die hard fans of schools still in it. People just want exciting games. Cinderella runs are exciting. Upsets are exciting. Alabama vs. Duke is also exciting
I guess we're watching different tournaments, as each of the points you raise in support of your apparent bewilderment at my "mostly mediocre" characterization seem to be rather lacking in my estimation, which is exactly why I called it "mostly mediocre."

Who are the Cinderallas this year? What were all the big upsets in your view? I know you made this post before tipoff) and it isn't over yet..but is watching Duke keep Alabama at arms length really "exciting" to anyone? I wouldn't think so. Many games have been like that this tournament, seemingly more than usual.

I just love watching the teams today run offense versus jacking 3's and/or watching other players on their own teams. Of course, these teams today really have some athletes ...

Too many 3s from Bama. This style always craps out over a 6 game NCAA tourney

UConn averaged 25 three point attempts per game both of their repeat title seasons

Bama needs stops and can't get them

Sears is getting absolutely punked by the Duke defense right now.

I honestly don’t know if I would take a trip to the final four this year knowing we would’ve had to play Duke again 😂

The problem was Malauch similarly to teams struggling against UConn with Clingan last year.

Bama wasn't shooting very well but they also couldn't score inside at all with Malauch in.

Maluach is like 100% what Clingan was for UConn last year.
Yep and what he lacks in strength he makes up for in mobility. Dude is a top 5 pick.

Honestly, I know Flagg is good and gets a ton of hype but the two most important players on Duke are Knuepel and Malauch. The offense runs through Kon and Malauch is doing exactly what you said and providing Clingan type rim protection.

Flagg is basically a superb role player for them. I don't know if it's easily repeatable but Scheyer built a great team and those freshman complement each other incredibly well plus they have some vets to fill in as role players with Sion, Gillis, etc.

There's just 1 seeds and everyone else this year. Tennessee looks like 5 nobodies.
