Really impressive zoom. Should know our next assistant soon hearing that it is down to two names.
Two candidates? Imma need another name.

So happy about Coach Frazier!!!

mccolley needs to lose his press credentials. Usually I don’t pay attention to his ridiculousness. But asking personal questions about family, mentioning names like they are tight, Chester having to point out his mom had a stroke. Awkward and unnecessary.

Chester handled it like a pro though.

The guy is the worst. He has no tact. But oftentimes he seems to be the only reporter willing to ask any sort of tough question whatsoever.

I haven't watched the Zoom yet from today, but re: McColley:

1) I really appreciate how he posts all the press conferences on YouTube... he is doing everyone a public service
2) He often asks good questions but I am always on the edge of my seat prepared for one of his cringe-worthy ones... Keisersose is right that he seems to want to show he is familiar with staff/players in a way that comes off as unprofessional
3) I really dislike how most of the journalists ask questions that could be boiled down to: "I am planning to write my story with my angle being X so could you please talk about X so I can throw a few quotes into my article?"

Oh man, just got done listening to the press conference while jogging and can confirm the cringe level is 10/10... listen to the whole thing at your own risk

McColley can be very refreshing, because he's different and he sometimes asks tough questions (unlike his brethren). But he's his own worst enemy, with his cringe-fest forays. Everyone has some WTH moments, but McColley has them far too often.

McCauley's vague and confusing questions to Chester about his growth in "intelligence" and "vocabulary"

The rest of the press conference was great
Chester probably remembers McColley, so I wouldn't get too worried about the "cringe" of whatever he said.

I haven't watched this yet. How many times did Brad say "Elite"?
Pretty sure it was only 1 from Brad and 1 from Chet.

A 32 minute Brad Underwood interview, with a normal "elite" quota of 3 per minute, should have given us 96 "elites". We only got one. Chet already having an affect.

Can we talk about Brad's shirt? Is that an "Illini" over two stripes followed by "Illinois" followed by a block "I"?

Who is designing this merch? And can we send them to Kentucky or Gonzaga 🙏?

🤬The designer and the consumer in me wants to throw things.
