Bret Bielema: Brandon Peters has a left shoulder injury. Not a long-standing injury. Not ruling him out this week but not optimistic [for] this week.

Awaiting further tests on CJ Hart.

Beason will be back this week.

Getting Beason back is a nice boon for UTSA. Happy to hear Peters should be able to make a return. I don't like our depth after Art.

Hopefully Hart is good, I thought cramps initially but this makes me scared that they are waiting on MRI to see severity of tear.

Agree strongly with your depth comment. Regardless of whom gets the starting nod the rest of the way, I'd love to have Brandon/Art as our #1 and #2 guys (in any order) the rest of the way.

VERY happy for BP. I think you could argue Art seemed to bring some spice to our offense after the interception got called back, and maybe we can do more with him behind center. But maybe BP would have gotten there too as the game unfolded. I really hope that he takes the job back and succeeds, but will be happy with whoever earns the job.

I don't know if you saw that quote I posted, but Art said the Tannor hit really fired him up.

I want BP back healthy and able to compete 100% and may the better player win the starting nod. I do like how Art came in and led the team.

He earned my respect.

any word on why Armstrong didn't get to play?

Very good news on BP, hopefully he isn't timid after this knock. Unfortunate about Hightower as I'm pretty high on him, but really hoping something minor for CJ. He was fantastic on Saturday.

Definitely feel bad for Hightower. Lots of promise but I think he will bounce back.

I think WR room will still be fine with Navarro, I Williams, Washington, Armstrong (hopefully he gets to hit field soon!) and some of the younger talent we have.

Is Duece Spann permanently at WR now? or Was this more of a hybrid situation?

After that catch, I hope he is there for at least a while!

Hopefully he has not given up on being a QB all together. I hope it was just "I'm not likely to play as a QB this year, so if I can play WR this year to help, I will," but then go back to QB. I would love to see his skillset succeed.

Jamar Armstrong is in the "might be back" category this week, per coach Bielema. Coach was more emphatic about Beason being available.

He's staying at WR.
According to OC Petersen, Spann is at WR because of his talent and does have an opportunity to move back to QB. Depends on team needs and his talent at QB. In short, Spann is a gifted athlete and can play the game. I read Spann was only at WR for 2 weeks.

From article I read, sounds like this is the case. He’ll be WR this year, but a chance he could try QB again. If I had to bet, I think he’ll never really go back to QB or he’ll transfer at some point if he really wants to pursue QB. Just seems to be too far down depth chart. Hope he sticks around because he certainly seems to have potential as a WR.

Tate said he was told maybe a month on Peters.
that does not surprise me at all
Johnson and Robinson have to be ready if Art needs a breather for whatever reason

and Spann can make a lot of money in the League as a WR if he's as good as he looked Saturday
