To be clear, shifting the conversation to something no one said to begin with holds no weight.

I'll go ahead and stand by... It is mind-numbing reading negative hot takes on Miller entering the transfer portal at the same time we are celebrating the addition of 2 impact players via the exact same portal.

Unsure you understand my point but it's all good. Let's move on.

Having many family members in the public eye you have to learn that unjust criticism is part of the deal. Yes sometimes it's painful to read but then you learn to not take it personally and move on. If someone makes decisions in life based on other peoples opinions and not the trusted loved ones around you then your destined for regret and being miserable. Just keep it objective and stay out of the ditch of questioning others character and it should be fine. College campuses already have to many "safe" places.

How about we gush at the idea of AM coming back and our second unit guards being all B1G caliber. Somehow we lose an All American guard and our backcourt comes back as good or better, incredible job by the staff if the AM rumors are for real.
Personally, I don't see much of that working out that way...

Kids who go into the portal don't usually go back. I still believe, and always have believed that he is gone.

The straight up hate for Miller for doing this is obviously too much, but there is a small part of me that understands the reaction of some.

It just doesn't make a ton of sense still.

Miller was undoubtedtly going to be a huge part of the team next year, sure fire starter with an even larger role. He had a large role as a Freshman. It's his home state. Ayo is gone. Kofi is probably gone. It would be Miller's time. Why leave now?

Curbelo is a pure PG. I don't see even the most Kool-Aid drinking Belo lovers expecting him to be in the 20 PPG range. We need another backcourt scorer and that would be Miller. He would get his shots on a team that would still be very good with national exposure.

I shouldn't be suprised at any player transfering but,
Does he think Belo took too much of the limelight?
Does he just not like Underwood?

It just seems like a poor choice to leave now.

PSA .
Adam miller is unbelievably talented and us Peoria folk hope he stays suitied for the orange and blue..
By the way He is WAY MORE AWARE OF THIS FORUM than you know!
I don’t understand this. I loved The hat I saw from Ace this year. Saw him as a guy that would do what it takes to win. Play defense, dive for loose balls etc. I was shocked he entered the transfer portal. And if he’s coming back, I’m shocked it hasn’t happened yet.

He’d have the chance to be a legend if he played his entire career here.

But I’m also really excited about the players we have added and am happy to start cheering for next year’s team. Maybe Adam will be a part of it.

I mean, Belo/Trent/Plummer can definitely provide 40ppg IMO.

Of course. You'll notice that I said "imo" (in my opinion) in my post. I think criticizing the values/principles/character of a player based mostly on rumor is taking things too far; clearly you feel the opposite. I am not trying to suppress anybody's opinion (I don't even have the capability of doing so if I wanted), I am only suggesting that, imo, expressing those opinions on a public forum that is accessible by anyone is not in best taste. You are welcome to bash my view that publicly expressing those kinds of thoughts is going too far (as you have), just as I am welcome to bash the view that AM entering the portal somehow means he's inherently egotistical and disloyal. It cuts both ways.
This is the result when a starter who played plenty of minutes and got all kinds of opportunities in a good program decides to put HIMSELF in the transfer portal. Especially when he didn't talk to anyone on the coaching staff or make any kind of statement. Its just not good no matter how you look at it.

Come on people, he’s a goner. Please move on.
This is a board that still constantly posts about Alan Griffin. Despite being someone who wanted AM back, I'm bracing myself for the unwanted experience of seeing potentially hundreds of posts about how good/bad he's doing at his next stop, or *shudders* how he's the missing piece that would have made the difference in whatever games we end up losing next year.

He just posted a video with a new tattoo. Appears to be a tiger. Good luck, Adam!

That says a lot.
Who is in this kids ear, or not? Even if you’re leaving, could you imagine not being at the game for this if you’re on campus? He was a part of this. It was a major accomplishment. His decision making is typical of a teenager, where are the adults? Even though he’s leaving he should have been there for this today.
