Just about every team in the country is dealing with this, some losing several players. Unless the rules are changed, this will be the case year in and year out.

If Miller were to come back, could he try the portal again next year without the transfer penalty? Sorry if I missed this, couldn't find it in the threads though.

Would welcome Miller back but also happy to move on. Program is bigger than 1 player and we will be pretty set at the wing the next 2-3 years. Hopefully get Plummer as a stop gap and let the freshmen wings get seasoning. Then bring in 2 potentially more talented freshman wings.

Miller posted Instagram today wearing an ILLINI lanyard. For one who seems to care a lot about his "style" it appears he may be as confused as the rest of us are.

It sounds like Adam is moving on. As an Illini fan, of course, I wish it had a different ending. He is a really good player who will be missed, but is not irreplaceable. I think this staff shown it is committed to player development and I think Adam would really benefit from that. This may be a case of this staff telling him what he needs to hear vs what he and his family want to hear. If the rumor is true that the players and staff were completely blindsided by Adam entering the portal, I would think they have some reservations about bringing him back anyways.

This thread has got to end. Miller is not part of the team anymore. Get over it - If you are waiting and watching and hoping for him to change his mind, you’re just setting yourself up for a double kick in the junk from the same guy. This is a bad relationship- stop trying to hang on.

Everybody goes through the various stages at a different pace. Give it time. You're in acceptance, many are in bargaining, and a couple on here got to anger real quick and have stayed there.

I don't think most here are that angry/depressed about it. I for one hoped he would stay, but at the same time I think our staff will find another productive guard in the portal.
