They need to do a much better job of getting back and not giving up easy transition opportunities off of misses. That and make free throws.
Missed a lot of free throws.

Hold Sears to 0 points and still lose by double digits. Alabama is a team with loads of talent and experience.
The second half defense was much better than the first half but still not good enough.
Better ft shooting, and this game is much closer. Illinois can be very good come March. No shame in this loss.

Need to instill the “every possession matters” mentality. Especially on the defensive end.
Frustrating game to watch at times, but definitely saw some flashes of what this team can be when they get some time to put it together over the season. Also...Alabama is really good. How the hell did Purdue beat them on Friday?

Zero defense against penetration. Zero answers for their FT defense.
Really frustrating but better than the Ole Miss game. We should be able to beat Arkansas. Expect to see us smoke the next 2 teams hard and then win on Thanksgiving.
They aren’t soft. Just played a better and experienced team.
