We still haven’t seen the best out of KJ, and this team will go as far as he can take them. He’s the engine to the offense

Unfortunately some of his flaws against quicker guards is getting exposed- this is nothing new if you look at his games from the FIBA tournament over the summer he had a couple of bad games and a couple of great games. He’s a streaking player right now and that usually starts to get more consistent with experience. If the staff can get some consistency in running the offense from him regardless if his shot is falling or not and the limit the turnovers we can be really good. Ivisic and Hummer really need Kasparas to find them in good spots to be effective, so there is a trickle down impact if Kasparas is not playing well

Things to learn:
The guys who don't like the initial abbreviations are going to have to learn KJ and DGL. They are correct that nobody else should become initials.

Riley is not 17, not even in the metric system. He is 18 and will soon be 19.

The people who say Johnson should play more. You are probably right, but 4 fouls in 8 minutes takes it out of Underwood's hands. You don't want your only center backup to become unavailable.

The defense is bad when you score 87 points and aren't really in the game.

Riley, 4 assists, 0 turnovers, 1 steal, 9 rebounds, 18 points, would have been 20 if Morez hadn't stuck his hand in, 75% from 3. Played hard, had 2 fouls. He's a dawg!

Not one player on the team has played more than 4 games with another player on the team. Not going to have much chemistry at this point - just like early last year when Domask looked like a bust. Until the FAU game, we looked very beatable, and Marquette did beat us at the SFC. Have no choice but to be patient and see what BU can make of these guys.
Foot speed is an issue for us against a team like Alabama. Fortunately, not many Alabamas out there.

At the moment, my bet would be he'll lead the team in scoring for the year.

Dayyyyummmm! I've watched that clip 10 times and I still can't see the KJ pass, lol. Seems they skipped a few frames...... lol.

Okayyyy, I watched it another 10x and still couldn't tell..... Slowed the clip down to 1/4 speed and can BARELY see that he throws it right-handed over his left hip to Tome for the assist..... Pretty pretty pretty PRETTY GOOD !!!

I agree totally with your comment about defense. This is just my uninformed opinion. Start your best 5 defenders and go from there. I know this might mean the line-up could change from game to game. But it sends a message.

This team will mature a lot over the course of the next month. I like out BIG schedule. We don't play at Mackey this year. We have a chance if our defense can tighten up. A lot of opportunities are ahead.

Didn’t get to see the game, but a tough non conference schedule is beneficial in basketball. Then the obvious question after a loss is are they just not very good or will they be able to improve and get better. Opinions here seem mixed at the moment. I don’t have one yet, but giving up 100 to anyone concerns me a tad
Well, they gave up 87 to us and that was with how many turnovers? What would it have been like if our guys had been just a little more sticky fingered?

Because Kasparas, or KJ...or hell...even Kasparas Jakucionis....was too hard to type??
No, it’s not really too hard to type. Underwood’s recruiting (and the transfer portal) are akin to a test for dementia or early onset symptoms of whatever that other illness is called. So, the “kid from Lithuania” may be as good as it gets.
