My vegan wife informed me that Cade Cunningham is also vegan. “Go tell your basketball buddies,” she says. She clearly has no knowledge of Loyalty and how many sizzling bacon GIFs this could unleash.

Have you seen what Philly is asking for? Multiple players and multiple (3-4) first round picks. They’re crazy and I want no part of it lol.
Right, which is to say, they want to keep him, which they should.

There was a moment there where it looked like it was wobbling a bit.

Arcidiacano and Satoransky are likely about to be gone, which leaves Colby White as the other 1/2 combo guard on the roster alongside Adam Mokoka, who doesn’t get minutes anyways. Colby White is coming off an injury and is really more of a SG and not the Bulls’ answer at PG. Yes the Bulls will pick up a FA starting PG but there’s minutes for Ayo off the bench, especially if he plays D well. The Bulls defense stinks and I think Ayo is already a better defender than half that Bulls roster which is why I think it’s about as good an opportunity a 2nd round pick could ask for. Some analyst thinks Ayo could have 12-16 minutes a game next year. It’s a great spot for him IMO
If ball/rose come and white move the the 2 then he’s going to lose mins. My hope was that he could start at 12-16 then build from there but it’s going to be hard with that group.

I think it was mentioned earlier, if Ayo can get way better going left, and continue to work on his handles and quickness...he's going to have a nice 10 year career and make a wheelbarrow full of fun coupons. His work ethic is off the charts, I wouldn't bet against him.

Ayo can be Rajon Rondo and then some. Rondo has never been a great 3 point shooter is 3-4 inches shorter than Ayo, but makes up for it with above average athleticism, has built a 15 year career in the NBA- being a good leader, defender, distributor and not afraid to take the big shot

Rondo is a little more of a maestro with the ball than Ayo is. Not the same but closer to curbelo. I’m also not knocking Ayo’s bbiq, but rondo is known for elite IQ and memorizing other teams playbooks. There’s a story of an nba coach calling a dummy play, and rondo turned to him and said you don’t have that in your playbook.

I love the idea of a trade built around Markkanen for Ben Simmons, but Philly is probably smart enough not to do that.
Straight up Markkanen for Simmons is a winning trade for philly, anytime you can trade a player that can't shoot for a player that can I'll take that everyday

Hilarious, if true.

Oh it’s true. There are a bunch of stories out there about Rondo calling out other teams plays during games. I firmly believe if Rondo had the slightest bit of a jump shot, especially earlier in his career, that he would be a top 10 PG of all time.
Top ten point guards dont fake a back injury to not play in the playoffs for a team they didnt want to be traded to.

Have the Bulls had an introduction of Ayo officially becoming apart of the team/ holding his jersey etc....? I noticed other teams have already had their draft choices in to welcome them.

I believe he has to sign a contract with the Bulls for all that to take place, even jersey sales.

And only first rounders are guaranteed contracts. Wonder if the Bulls will offer him one before summer practice?

I think the Ball signing helps Ayo- he’s going to be needed when Ball misses his 20-30 games a year

Maybe.. but now white is coming off the bench which limits Ayos possible mins when everyone is healthy. Derozan would only make things worse.... I was hoping Ayo would have a really high ceiling on total mins by the end of the season. I am beginning to doubt that will be the case.

Ayo to the Bulls is a great story, but the owner that brought you a decade of GarPax and Kenny Williams, I don't put much faith in him bringing out the best in a 38th overall pick.
