Basketball Transfer Thread

Interesting resource I found that is tracking players that will be immediately eligible after transferring. http://pcbb1917.com/2016-college-basketball-free-agents-graduate-transfer-list/

Seems to be run by someone who follows Providence recruiting, but still some decent information there, clicking each players name will link you to their Basketball-Reference page. I haven't browsed this thoroughly but really no stand-out names at the moment.

And somehow, of all players, Jaquan Lyle still remains on the team.

Where else is he going to go. If you count commitments, dude has been at more schools than Luke Recker. Not many have admissions like OSU's. UNC is the only place he could get higher grades.

AJ Harris. Man..

An OSU guy I know called that, unbelievable.

Apparently the class never got along and they are worried about PT going forward, which doesn't quite make sense to me but whatever, happy to have another Big Ten team struggle and maybe let us bypass them.

Mark Titus said on twitter that the freshmen felt like they weren't going to get a shot to start and wanted to go elsewhere in hopes of starting.

Everyone thinks they are better than they are. Huge reality check when they transfer and still dont start. Short of dropping to a much lower conference.

Rumors swirling that he may retire, he's had really bad health issues for awhile now, not the first time he's contemplated retiring for health reasons.

This is what came to my mind when I saw the exodus of frosh's... His condition (Drop Foot I believe) is excruciatingly painful and being on the sideline as a coach makes it hurt even more. Been rumored that he would hang it up earlier than most coaches would for a while.

Time will tell

Fire Thad Matta, obviously a bad coach.

Maybe Groce can hire him to be a part-time assistant head coach. Less stress, maybe less travel, still recruting and develop players. C'mon, it could happen.

Add Jimmy Whitt to the list.. I thought it was announced a few days ago but maybe it was just speculation at the time.

They could not keep Spike because they already had one more player than they had scholarships. If they add the guy from Columbia, they will have two more players than scholarships.

I say this just in case John Beilein cannot count...

Had an Illini offer at one point. Any potential here?

I'm shocked that I didn't hear of any off court trouble relating to him this past season. I was totally expecting him to have some Jameis Winston-esque off court troubles this season. There is a reason that Groce backed off of him.
