Pretty sure he has to sit out another year.
That's strange. To go to Old Dominion, sit out a year, and then transfer without even playing for them. Wonder what is up?
Saw on Twitter he is going for a hardship waiver so no matter how likely it is... I'm sure it was part of the thought process
It's extremely unlikely since they don't exist any more.
If you look at his history, it's not so strange.
I wish Colbert the best of luck. The reasons for leaving Illinois seem pretty fuzzy but it doesn't sound like he had much say. I'm not sure what his production would have been like here as an upperclassman but we definitely could have used him last year.
According to this article he had trouble staying focused after his brother died in December. Hopefully he does well at Hampton.

Figuratively called by every single Illini fan out there the day he committed. Literally called by quite a few on this board.
I think he's plenty good enough to play for UK but he was always going to get recruited over. I think he'll be a hell of a 3-4 year player eventually but that's not what UK is looking for.

Idk maybe I'm crazy but in my opinion you have to go after him, esp with Goodwin and Lewis both uncertainties.

The only "immediate eligibles" now are grad transfers.
Ive heard he was a terrible teammate here and kind of a jerk and that is the main reason he was pushed out. The talent didn't match the headache. Hopefully he is able salvage his career and have a strong finish.
